I found out in 2008 that I have diabetes, just 5 weeks after my Mom died from it. It's Type 2, so I manage it with medicine, exercise, and diet. It's not fun but it's made me way more conscious of my health and the wish to live longer than the 68 years my Mom had. That's WAY too young to die!
